Another Obamacare Tax Now in Effect

Only in the sick and twisted mind of the liberal would Obamacare be seen as compassionate for seniors. Liberals can rant all day about how conservatives want people to die in the streets because they don’t want them to have affordable healthcare. They can rave all day about how Obama just wants to provide affordable, even free, healthcare for everybody, including the elderly. Obamacare is turning out to be a giant, festering sore that has been covered up for the past two years by politicians and media, but its pestilential odor has permeated the political air the more the bandages have fallen off.

Yet another Obamacare tax has taken effect on October 1st. Now there is a penalty for readmitting a patient within 30 days of the patient’s discharge. Who do you think this affects the most? Yep, the elderly and the disabled. Obamacare is really taking care of those seniors, right?

The Associated Press reports:

About two-thirds of the hospitals serving Medicare patients, or some 2,200 facilities, will be hit with penalties averaging around $125,000 per facility this coming year, according to government estimates… For the first year, the penalty is capped at 1 percent of a hospital's Medicare payments. The overwhelming majority of penalized facilities will pay less. Also, for now, hospitals are only being measured on three medical conditions: heart attacks, heart failure and pneumonia. . . . Under the health care law, the penalties gradually will rise until 3 percent of Medicare payments to hospitals are at risk.

Hospitals and doctors are already seeing decreasing reimbursements from Medicare, even less than what they were prior to Obamacare. This means that hospitals have had to cut hospital stays short in order to remain in the black, and patients are being discharged before they’re ready. And now, if they come back within 30 days of being discharged, the hospital is subject to a new fine. It’s all part of cutting costs and making healthcare more affordable.

For those who are “healthy, wealthy and wise,” this measure changes nothing. But for those who are poor, sick, disabled or old, it means that their healthcare may become so expensive, it might cost them their life. This is the liberals’ version of compassion. Depriving the most vulnerable of people from healthcare is simply “for their own good.” These individuals are too expensive to care for and therefore not worth saving. Who needs the infamous “death panel” when this new tax takes care of eliminating the weaklings?

Yes, but the liberals are so blind they can't even see it. What they don't realize is, that, this is going to apply to ALL of us, not just conservatives, or just liberals, not just blacks, not just whites, not just Hispanics, etc.

The taxes in this unconstitutional Senate originated law were addressed in the case Purpura v Sebelius's count 1. Only the House of Representatives is allowed to write revenue raising bills. This law originated in the Senate and the Senate may not create tax laws. The Court refused to hear the case fabricating a standing argument. There are at least 19 violations of the US Constitution in the law known as "H.R. 3590" or Obamacare. If people are interested the legal files can be found at http://www.jerseyshoreteaparty.org/documents.html or directly at http://www.jerseyshoreteaparty.org/healthcare/ .

Obama equals death. It is going to end up like Hitler's Germany and that will be before it really gets bad. One World Gov. Is coming and it is only the US that is standing in the way because of our Constitution. Already Obama has been suggested to be the world leader. The Great Apostasy is happening now before our eyes. That man in the WH has to be voted out. He should be impeached and charged with treason.

    Testing Obamacare claims:
    1) "if you like your current insurance, you can keep it"
    2) Obamacare will "lower your costs"

The Truth: I got a nice letter from my health insurance carrier one day (after the early provisions of Obamacare kicked in) saying they were "pleased to make the changes you requested" to my policy, yada yada yada, and I noticed the price had gone up 25% !!!!
WTF - ? First, I had NOT asked them to make ANY changes to my policy. Second, they didn't even explain what the changes were other than to list a different plan. So, I called them up and asked what was going on. Well, they told me "sorry, sir, but your old plan does not meet the minimum standard of care under the Affordable Care Act" You see, I have had my own business for 35 years -- in which I have always been the ONLY employee. So, I provide my health care coverage through my business. Since my wife and I have no children and cannot ever have any, I intentionally bought a policy that expressly did NOT cover "Maternity Care" -- which happens to be an expensive coverage area because of the complications that often occur in this area of medicine. It save me quite a bit of money -- almost 25% at the time I first bought it soon after I got married. Well, President Obama has decided that its "unfair" for a business to discriminate against women by not providing Maternity Care coverage. Make sense -- no argument. EXCEPT that I don't need it and I have been my only employee for 35 years! But, they told me IF you hired someone, it would be discriminatory to not offer this coverage. Fine, I told the insurer, "how about if I continue my old policy until such a time as I do hire someone -- which I'll do NEVER -- and you can change my policy then." Sound reasonable? "Sorry, sir, we are no longer LEGALLY ALLOWED to offer you your old plan under the terms of the new law." ARRRGH! This is what happens when you let the government make the decisions that YOU should make for yourself. I'm sure the president thought he was doing the right thing by "protecting" employees from mean old employers, but because his plan causes generic government decisions to replace individual informed choice, the consequences are BAD -- even for the people they were trying to help.

Obamacare is not intended to help people. It is intended to drive insurance companies out of business and put people under the control of the "Government". Obama and his ilk believe in the concept of "Supremacy of the State" and those who control it. I have read the bill. They also believe that the government can improve people. This concept resulted in Prohibition. This is all the opposite of what our country was based upon - "Supremacy of the person" and minimal government.

The hospitals will just refuse to readmit and the patients will die at home or in the nursing home. Way to go Obama :(
