With a mind impervious to facts, and a heart unaffected by truth, Al Sharpton is reportedly on his way to Ferguson. If I were an official there, I’d have someone ready to arrest him for further inciting riots, the moment he blathers another mindless word about a lack of justice in the Michael Brown case.
From Politico.com: “Al Sharpton: ‘An absolute blow’”
The Rev. Al Sharpton says the grand jury decision to not indict Officer Darren Wilson is “an absolute blow” and added that “the fight is not over.”
“It was expected, but still an absolute blow to those of us that wanted to see a fair and open trial. I think that it is clear that even when you see a blow coming … it still hurts nonetheless,” Sharpton said late Monday evening from his Harlem offices, according to video posted by Mediaite.
Sharpton said the family of Michael Brown now joins others who “collectively share the pain of having a loved one taken by law enforcement.”
The civil rights activist and MSNBC host denounced the explanation of the non-indictment by St. Louis County Prosecutor Robert P. McCulloch. Sharpton called certain claims about the investigation “flawed” and “very suspect.”
Somehow we’re supposed to believe this heavily-indebted blowhard from New York knows more about this case than a grand jury who heard more than 70 hours of expert testimony, and had access to eyewitnesses none of us had heard about till Monday night.
You want to help people, Al? Tell them never to rob stores, impede traffic, disobey, insult, or assault a law enforcement officer… especially tell them not to try to take their weapon… and to avoid rushing at them after you’ve already pummeled them.
Oh, and equally as important: Tell them not to make up bogus accounts about what happened in any such case, because it might cause riots that harm their neighbors’ businesses and homes.
