Why You Should be Armed in Your Home

When a gunman puts the barrel against your wife’s neck you will want to be armed in your home.

Bob Allen recently posted a video demonstrating why you should be armed in your car. Now here is a story demonstrating why you should be armed in your home: “Homeowner Shoots Home Invader Holding Gun To Woman’s Neck.”

According to the Daily Caller,

A suspect in an armed home invasion is dead after he was confronted by an armed homeowner.

Two men began knocking on the front door of a North Memphis, Tenn. home on Tuesday. When a woman answered, the men barged in, and one of them — identified as 22-year-old Nico Carlisle — held a gun to the woman’s neck.

A male homeowner also inside the house heard the commotion, retrieved his own handgun, and fired several shots at the two men, hitting and killing Carlisle.

Carlisle’s accomplice left the scene and has not been found. Police said Carlisle had an extensive rap sheet that includes charges for burglary and assault. Police also cleared the homeowner of wrong-doing.

According to MyFox Memphis, Holiday pressures may have been part of the reason for the attempted crime.

Police aren’t talking about a clear motive, but neighbors who know the homeowner have their own theories.

“Some people’s families don’t have anything for their kids so they think they can go out and rob other folks,” McKinley said. “It’s just crazy.”

Despite the holiday violence on their block, Christmas will go on as planned. They have never been afraid of where they live.

“Yes I still feel safe,” Clark said.

I’m not sure why he feels safe. Perhaps he has a firearm available to him.
