Once again, a testimony similar to what my own research revealed in the fall of 2012—within a month or so of the attack, murders, and absent rescue.
I say that with not a hint of pride, but absolute disgust. If I, sitting at a computer in Tennessee could rightly determine what happened, then it’s for darn sure a Congressman or Senator—with paid staff and access to additional information—could have figured it out IF they truly had a passion for the truth, a concern for our nation, and compassion for the families of those who died in Benghazi.
…I learned, as I presumed, that there was a covert weapons scheme going on in Libya, Benghazi. We had been supplying radical Islamists with weapons against Libyan President Moammar Gadhafi, effectively supplying the enemy and destabilizing that country. And it seems that there was a CIA weapons buy-back program, the aim of which was to ship the retrieved weapons out of Libya through Turkey, and to the Islamist forces in Syria.
This is a wretched cover-up, plain and simple. The Democrats covered it up to save Obama’s skin, and enable him to win reelection, and the Republicans were indifferent, until they could dredge it up right before another vote.
I’m sick of the low-lifes in both parties who dishonored the dead, left our brave soldiers in ongoing jeopardy under a derelict Commander-in-Chief, and who value politics over truth, justice, and what used to be known as the American way.
Yes, I deeply pray Trey Gowdy and the rest of the select committee finally rip back the veil and show this immoral gun-running op for what it was; yes, I hope the “smoking gun” is revealed on what moral degenerate gave the various orders to “stand down” and let Americans be slaughtered.
But there is no rejoicing to be found, even in that outcome. Four Americans died, and justice was delayed, because a bunch of human scum like to play power politics. Most of Congress and the Administration should repent, and resign.
As an addendum, this is also a damning indictment of American journalism. Why didn’t the New York Times, or another major media outlet dig this out? The First Amendment exists to enable journalists to do this job, but not one of them did. The lack of professional curiosity amongst the current cadre of so-called journalists is appalling. You failed in your duty to the American people, media brethren. And you continue to pile on dereliction when it comes to the IRS scandal, the AP harassment, Fast and Furious, and your mindless PR work in promotion of the fake science behind so-called Climate Change. Sad. Simply sad.
