2012 Election

Why Is Mitt Romney Threatening to Run for President Again?

Romney Logo_cropped What makes a two-time loser like Mitt Romney think he can win the next presidential election? Just after Jeb Bush was announced as the great Republican hope, suddenly Mitt Romney has appeared as the other GOP savior. Since Romney allegedly used his own money in his last two runs (or is that completely true?) I have to respect his willingness to take such a risk again. But the entire idea seems delusional to me. First, he lost to John McCain who lost to Barack Obama, then he lost to Barack Read more [...] Continue reading →

Afghanistan Forever Thanks to Barack Obama: Will We Really Be Withdrawn in 2016?

Afghanistan Map From Associated Press: “Obama seeks to keep 9,800 US troops in Afghanistan after year's end.” President Barack Obama will seek to keep 9,800 U.S. troops in Afghanistan after the war formally ends later this year and then withdraw most of those forces by 2016, senior U.S. administration officials said Tuesday. Obama's decision is largely in line with what military commanders have been seeking and would allow the president to fully end the American-led military effort by the time he leaves office. The Read more [...] Continue reading →

Benghazi Gets Under Democrats' Skins

Hillary Rodham Clinton Could Democrats have a worse poker face? With everyone from Jay Carney to Nancy Pelosi running around in the past few days saying no one should be talking about Benghazi, it's clear that's exactly what this nation needs to talk about. An email released earlier this week through a Freedom of Information Act is a smoking gun revealing that the Obama Administration lied about the reasons behind Benghazi and covered up because of the rapidly approaching 2012 presidential election. And another memo Read more [...] Continue reading →

Another International Crisis, Another Line in the Sand

obama putin 2 Hang on to your bar stools, the Obama Administration is talking tough again. Secretary of State John Kerry warned Moscow of "serious" repercussions if weekend negotiations on the fate of Ukraine don't yield some positive results. And he means it. Really. Really, really. Aw, c'mon stop laughing. The Obama Administration has lost virtually all international credibility at this point. Whenever Kerry or President Obama tries to play John Wayne, Russian President Vladimir Putin just Read more [...] Continue reading →

Mitt Romney: "We Kind Of Had To Steal The Republican Nomination"

MittRomney The documentary is called “MITT” but from what I see in reviews, it should have been called “LOSER.” It is a movie of the Mitt Romney Presidential campaigns, and most viewers are claiming that the most apparent take away from the documentary is Mitt Romney’s lack of confidence. As Byron York summarize: …for viewers who follow politics closely, especially for Republicans who desperately wanted to defeat Barack Obama, there is a revelation in "Mitt" that is not just unexpected but Read more [...] Continue reading →

Obama Voters Still Don't Get It -- and They Don't Want It

ObamaWizard For every scrap of news that might indicate America is finally waking up to the reality of the charlatan in the Oval Office, it seems there's something else that indicates the stupidity of the Left still has a strong hold on our country. The Obamacare "roll-out" has been a thorough failure if ever there was one, and even the most ardent supporters of Obama at MSNBC, CNN and other outlets are hard-pressed to come up with excuses. Obama's poll numbers are falling, with Americans' disapproval Read more [...] Continue reading →

It's the Return of the Obama Show Fainter

ObamaFainter President Obama heroically caught a fainting diabetic, pregnant woman yesterday during a speech about the problems with his health care law's roll out. At least that's the media spin on it. If you watch the video, Obama barely laid a finger on the woman, Karmel Allison, while the man behind her  does the actual catching. But it's just like Obama to try to take the credit for someone else's work. Besides a bout of "he's so caring" hero worship from the media, the incident raised hoots of Read more [...] Continue reading →

Romney was Right about Russia and Obama Was Wrong

Russia In their third presidential debate, President Obama ridiculed Mitt Romney when he said that Russia remained a threat to the United States. Here’s what Obama said in the debate: PRESIDENT OBAMA: “Governor Romney, I’m glad that you recognize that al-Qaida’s a threat because a few months ago when you were asked, what’s the biggest geopolitical threat facing America, you said Russia — not al-Qaida, you said Russia. And the 1980s are now calling to ask for their foreign policy back because, Read more [...] Continue reading →

Did Defense Money Buy NSA Votes?

BigBrother (2) When the House recently defeated a bill to cut funding for the NSA's national telephone-snooping program with a vote of 217-205, it was an example of the triumph of private money over public good. A Berkeley-based nonprofit called MapLight analyzed the vote and compared it with political donations to House members at the request of Wired. The analysis found that the 217 House members who voted against cutting NSA funding, both Republican and Democrat, had received on average 122 percent more Read more [...] Continue reading →

Pretty Much Everyone Hates Congress

The US Capitol Building According to a poll by NBC News and the Wall Street Journal, Congress is more hated now than ever. Eighty-three precent of respondents think Congress is failing. Wow. I saw a bumper sticker a few days ago that said, simply, “Fire Congress.” Apparently most people agree. It’s kind of mind-boggling actually. How did all these people get elected if 83% of their constituents think they aren’t doing a good job? Apparently it’s because people don’t know what to do with their disappointment. Read more [...] Continue reading →

Poll Indicates Ohio’s Liberal Voters Abandoning Obama

obama approval dropping in ohio Ohio has long been considered to be one of the key swing states in presidential elections.  It seems that whoever wins Ohio wins the White House.  Last November, Obama received 2,697,260 votes to Romney’s 2.593,779 votes.  Even though Romney won 72 of Ohio’s 88 counties, Obama won the state by the narrow margin of only 103,000 votes (largely because of voter fraud in Cleveland where numerous precincts reported 100% of votes for Obama). According to the latest Quinnipiac University survey, Read more [...] Continue reading →

Supreme Court Opens Doors For Voter Photo ID and Early Voting Restrictions

voter photo id Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act was a special provision that allowed the federal government to have a discretionary control of state voting laws in areas where there was historically voter discrimination against minorities.  This provision was aimed mostly at southern states and certain counties in other states.  The Act spells out certain criteria to define which states or counties would come under the special provision of Section 5. The Obama administration has used Section 5 of the Voting Read more [...] Continue reading →
