Listen to how this MSNBC regime mouthpiece describes grassroots political activism.
MSNBC host Alex Wagner attempted to argue that the IRS was actually the victim of the recent investigation into the IRS targeting of conservative groups that were seeking 501(c)(4) status.
“In my mind the IRS who is trying to get this out are the ones who have actually been targeted in this investigation.” Wagner stated during her program on Thursday night.
That’s her conclusion after pointing to the historic grass roots uprising that is the Tea Party, a movement on which big money Republicans have declared war.
Conservatives and Liberals have disagreed on various issues for decades. But no one ever claimed that Liberals favored the IRS using their power to kill grassroots movements by finding them according to their political views and targeting them for special burdens in order to discourage and stop them. That is the fascist move of a totalitarian regime.
Conservatives like to believe that ideas have power and that discussing issues is a constructive activity. You can’t have discussions with people who want to use the nightmarish powers of the IRS to silence you—or to share your private information with your enemies so that they can hurt you.
These people are programmed. Whatever faculties for critical thought they might have once had have been burned out by a lust for power. There is no way to negotiate with them.
As you hear Alex Wagner’s claim that the IRS is the victim in this story, remember the words of Catherine Engelbrecht:
“I will not retreat, I will not surrender, I will not be intimidated, and I will not ask for permission to exercise my Constitutional rights.”
Watch her testimony and tell me how Wagner can pretend that she is the one targeting the IRS.
Oh yes. The poor bullied IRS. We must defend them.
