The Healthy Wisdom in the Sick Threat Michelle Obama Made

Michelle Obama tells people they need to eat healthy if they don’t want to be messed with by the Federal government.

Michelle Obama decided to deliver a message via an interview in Cooking Light magazine. As the Washington Times reported:

First lady Michelle Obama believes Americans can keep the federal government from meddling with their lives by eating healthy foods and maintaining an active lifestyle.

In an interview with Cooking Light magazine published Monday, Mrs. Obama said the best way to avoid dealing with “the system” is to take care of one’s own body. Doing so, she said, will eliminate trips to the doctor and the need to deal with Obamacare.

“It’s just making sure people understand that the most powerful thing that they can do for their overall health is feed their bodies good nutritious food,” the first lady said. “If you don’t like the doctor, if you don’t like government, if you don’t like folks messing with your life, the best thing to do is make sure you’re healthy. Because that’s going to increase your odds for making sure that you don’t have to deal with the system.”

So much to say about this. In the first place, I don’t know if Michelle Obama is so much threatening Federal intervention as she is assuming that the government and doctors are all one and the same organization. Since her husband has pushed us under the Obamacare bus, she may simply be using the principles of that system when she describes the need to stay healthy.

But, whatever she means, her words represent torture and frustration. She has embodied her macabre ideas behind her desire for people to “feed their bodies good nutritious food” in the nation’s school lunch program. She is starving students with food that is both miniscule and far from healthy. Even if one could argue that the small bit of food was really healthy (which you can’t), unleashing hungry students from school who will probably go to the nearest fast food establishment to buy their snacks and meals is a stupid policy (if the objective is really health).

Furthermore, eating healthy requires more time and money. With Obamacare and other aspects of the Obama economy in place, it is unclear how broke people are supposed to commit to new eating regimens. Whole Foods is giving it their best shot, but it would really help if we were more prosperous.

Still, even though Michelle Obama is evil and corrupt, one can see a kind of wisdom in her words, even if they aren’t meant wisely.

The only way to really resist and beat back the ever-bloating Federal Government  is to take care of ourselves. We really do need to research a plan for staying as healthy and as strong as possible as much as we can possibly afford to do so.

That is just basic common sense.

Even with the stationary economy we have to do our best to take care of ourselves and those close to us if we are responsible for them. It really is true that, unless we adopt a way of life that strives for self-reliance, we are going to find the government coming into our homes telling us we must rely on it.

She meant it for evil but the First Lady nevertheless stated a truth.
