Joke About Ebola, Get Visited by Scary, Costumed People

Word to the wise: you should not joke about Ebola or about visiting Africa in the recent past—especially if you have just sneezed.

Remember, folks: Airplanes and airports are NO HUMOR ZONES!

A passenger sneezed, and joked that he had just come from Africa. This video shows what happened next (especially at 1 minute and 40 seconds and following).

Once we landed in Punta Cana we were told by the flight attendants that there was a situation and that a passenger may have been in Africa and had Ebola. She was certain it was a hoax but they did not take any chances and had a full hazmat crew board the plane and take the passenger off. It was later confirmed that the passenger was never in Africa and after 2 hours we were finally able to get off the plane.

More proof that if the adult-children who work for government are given toys, they will find any lame excuse to use them.

no jokes

Yes, it was a stupid comment to make amidst the current hysteria, but a brief interrogation would have verified that there was absolutely nothing to worry about, and zero justifiable reason to undertake all of this nonsense.
