Mega-Arrogance: Barack Obama Warns Vladimir Putin against Arming Syria’s Government

When Barack Obama warns Vladimir Putin against arming Bashar al-Assad, does he realize how hypocritical he is being?

When I read this story the shameless hypocrisy and arrogance left me breathless. I can’t decide if Barack Obama is being openly cynical, saying garbage that he knows everyone recognizes as garbage, or if he has convinced himself that he has any standing to warn anyone about arming anyone.

How can anyone read this Associated Press headline and not laugh?—“ Obama warns Russia against helping arm Syrian government.”

President Barack Obama warned Russia Friday against doubling down on its support for Syrian President Bashar Assad, casting a recent buildup of Russian military equipment and personnel in Syria as an effort to prop up the embattled leader.

“The strategy they’re pursuing right now of doubling down on Assad is a mistake,” Obama said during a town hall with U.S. military personnel.

Russia denies it’s trying to bolster Assad and instead says its increased military activity is part of the international effort to defeat the Islamic State, the terror group that has wreaked havoc in both Syria and Iraq. Earlier Friday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov called on world powers to join his country in that pursuit, arguing that Syria’s army is the most efficient force to fight the extremist network.

Russia is playing along by denying that they want to “bolster Assad.” I wish they would just be bluntly honest. Of course, they are trying to bolster Assad. He is the only viable alternative to the American-made ISIS taking over Syria. Only the bloodthirsty sociopaths inside the Beltway are depraved enough to prefer ISIS to Assad.

Why are such homicidal people permitted power in our country?

There is no denying it. The “moderates” we support are either useless, or else fronts for ISIS and other Al-Qaeda-related Jihadists.

Russia’s military moves have punctured what had been a notable uptick in optimism among U.S. officials about the prospect that Moscow was tiring of Assad, its longtime ally. Syria has been gripped by civil war for more than four years, a conflict that has claimed more than 250,000 lives and created a vacuum for extremism to thrive.

For months, U.S. officials have been gauging Russia’s willingness to help restart a political process to remove Assad from power. Obama, however, painted a grim prospect of that happening in light of Russia’s new action.

“It could prevent us from arriving at the political solution that’s ultimately needed to bring a peace back to Syria,” he said.

Yeah, like the “political solution” they arranged for Muammar Gaddafi at the hands of other (or the same?) Sunni Jihadists.

I’m going to assume that the purported “notable uptick in optimism among U.S. officials” is a bunch of garbage created by deceitfully-edited intelligence reports. There is no reason anyone looking at the situation in the news would believe that Russia is more likely to agree with us to turn a blind eye to a raping, murdering lunatic army in order to depose Assad in Syria.

Our own Ambassador was killed by Jihadists we supported, probably due to a weapons transfer from Libya to Syria that helped the formation of ISIS. Yet the Republicans have not even begun to push the issue the way it deserves to be pushed. Only Rand Paul has made any moves in that direction.

But the Republican Establishment is completely on board with Obama. Jeb Bush is out there telling lies about how we should support the “moderates.” We are painting the Middle East red with human blood by our transparent lies about the situation and our funneling money and arms that ends up empowering ISIS.

November 4, 2016, is shaping up to be a nightmare.

Basically, your choice is either the blight of nihilistic pasexualism along with a bunch of murderous bloodshed overseas, or else some nominal Christian values (that aren’t even strong enough to resist taxpayer funds to promote abortion here and overseas) along with a bunch of murderous bloodshed overseas.

Perhaps a Republican President would be a little nicer to the Christian refugees that we have created. But that won’t be enough to heal our sick and degenerate governing body.
