Men Who Take Bribes Often Do Other Evil Acts; We Need New Leadership

Can we try an experiment: One election cycle without a single politician “educated” in an Ivy League school. The Yale, Harvard, Princeton Axis-of-Evil is an intellectually-inbred group of imbeciles who have convinced themselves they are smart enough to control the world through bribery—even though modern history is splattered with the blood of their innumerable failed attempts.

The particular failure I’m thinking of was written about by Dan Sanchez at LewRockwell.com:

As the ISIS Sunni radicals, after proclaiming a new Caliphate, continue to conquer Iraqi towns, and the Al Nusra Front Sunni radicals proclaim a new Emirate in Syria, it is good to remember that the policy that led to this mess was initiated under the Bush Administration, with full cognizance of the possibility that it could result in severe terroristic and destabilizing blowback. It was in 2007 that the U.S. and Saudi Arabia launched what Seymour Hersh, who broke the story in The New Yorker, called “the Redirection.” Under this policy revolution, the U.S. and the Saudis (with Israel’s blessing and prodding) began trying to bolster Sunni radicals in an effort to “contain” the “Shiite resurgence” brought about by the U.S. empowerment of the Shiites in Iraq. It all started in Lebanon (emphasis added):

In Lebanon, the Administration has cooperated with Saudi Arabia’s government, which is Sunni, in clandestine operations that are intended to weaken Hezbollah, the Shiite organization that is backed by Iran. The U.S. has also taken part in clandestine operations aimed at Iran and its ally Syria. A by-product of these activities has been the bolstering of Sunni extremist groups that espouse a militant vision of Islam and are hostile to America and sympathetic to Al Qaeda. Why is it so hard to understand that those who are morally-benighted enough to take our bribes turn out to have ethical shortcomings of other sorts… like beheading innocent men, women, and children simply because they don’t follow the right interpretation of Murderous Muhammad’s insanity?

Ahh, probably because such understanding cuts too close to home for their own blind spot—bribery and graft are what make the world go around for the inhabitants of Washington, DC and Wall Street. Moral and ethical considerations have been completely cleansed from the Ivy League gene pool.

How about four-to-six years being led by people committed to following the Constitution, heeding the Founder’s wisdom to avoid ‘foreign entanglements,’ and focused on solving our own problems here at home, rather than fooling ourselves that we can change the nature of man through cold hard cash? Oh… yeah… that’s how we try to solve them here at home, as well… so as I was saying… how about a wholesale change of intellectual leadership?

I would rather be led by the down-home wisdom of someone out of the world of small business, than by the clueless, and too-often soulless, elites who currently hold sway.

The next time you hear yet another story of ISIS beheading or crucifying the innocent; just remember that George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, John McCain, Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, John Kerry, and all of the rest who reside in the nation’s capital have birthed them, using your tax dollars.
