Obama Admits San Bernardino Shooting MIGHT Be Terrorism, but Is Sure of Gun Control

The San Bernardino shooting shows the President’s blindness.

ABC News reported on the President’s statement on the shooting:

“At this stage, we do not yet know why this terrible event occurred,” Obama said of the Wednesday rampage that left 14 people dead. “We do know that the two individuals who were killed were equipped with weapons and appeared to have access to additional weaponry in their homes. But we don’t know why they did it.”

Obama added, “It is possible that this was terrorist-related but we don’t know. And it’s also possible that this was workplace related.”

He has been receiving regular updates on the situation in San Bernardino, California, from his Homeland Security adviser, Lisa Monaco. He delivered his remarks to press in the Oval Office alongside members of his national security team.

The President has been irrationally resistant to acknowledging any link between Islam and Terrorism. So it is hard to trust him when he says such unbelievable things. The L. A. Times reported,

As the holiday gathering got underway Wednesday morning, Syed Rizwan Farook joined dozens of his colleagues from San Bernardino County’s public health department. Farook, an inspector, seemed quiet during the early hours of the event, then vanished just as a group photo was about to be taken.

Shortly afterward, gunfire erupted at the Inland Regional Center where the employees filled a conference room. By the end of the day, police had identified Farook, 28, as a suspect in the massacre and said he was one of two people shot to death in a gun battle with officers. The other was 27-year-old Tashfeen Malik, who a family member said was Farook’s wife.

[…]

They [his surviving co-workers] said Farook recently traveled to Saudi Arabia and returned with a new wife he had met online. The couple had a baby and appeared to be “living the American dream,” said Patrick Baccari, a fellow health inspector who shared a cubicle with Farook.

Baccari and Christian Nwadike said Farook, who worked with them for several years, rarely started a conversation. But the tall, thin young man with a full beard was well liked and spent much of his time out in the field.

They and other colleagues said Farook was a devout Muslim, but rarely discussed religion at work.

I’m curious if “holiday gathering” in code for Christmas party.

Is this so different than the Paris attacks?

Some say there was an argument before the shooting, but it is obvious that the couple had been planning the attack. Another L. A. Times story says that,

Syed Rizwan Farook and Tashfeen Malik – the heavily armed couple who authorities say unleashed volleys of gunfire on a holiday party in San Bernardino – had amassed an armory of weapons and explosives in their Redlands home, including a dozen pipe bombs and thousands of rounds of ammunition, officials said Thursday.

So obviously they hoped to survive and find more targets. The Christmas party was just the beginning.

And it shows the folly of Barack Obama’s demand for more unconstitutional gun control. A Breitbart.com reports,

California has expanded background checks, which means they require a background check on every sale–retail or private. These are the very checks that President Obama, Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV), and Democrat surrogates like Gabby Giffords, Mark Kelly, Shannon Watts, and others are pushing at the federal level on the false premise of keeping Americans safe. They are the same checks that Colorado enacted after the heinous December 2012 attack on Sandy Hook Elementary, under the illusion that such checks would prevent a high profile public attack.

Additionally, what about the pipe bombs? Are we now going to make people go through a security background check for every chemical or ingredient?
