Obama Hell-Bent on Changing Country With Amnesty

The situation at our southern border is deteriorating by the day, with more and more children, often unaccompanied, flooding across from Mexico, the Border Patrol reduced to cooking and diaper-changing, and violent drug cartels and jihadists taking advantage of the distraction.

Only a true leader, dedicated to upholding our laws while acting with compassion could resolve this situation.

This looks like a job for a hypocrite.

Fortunately, Nancy Pelosi is en route. She will visit Texas on Saturday to be briefed by the Border Patrol on the situation that her boss, President Obama, has caused by instituting policies to hamper the Border Patrol from deporting people, preventing effective enforcement through his executive enactment of the Dream Act that Congress rejected, and releasing more than 36,000 convicted criminal aliens back into society.

Then she will no doubt pose with some freshly scrubbed immigrant children and hold a press conference to scold conservatives about neglecting “the children” and otherwise impress upon Americans the importance of allowing a foreign population of millions with no knowledge of American history and culture or desire to blend into American society to just become overnight citizens and vote.

“The humanitarian crisis unfolding across our nation’s southern border demands Congress come together and find thoughtful, compassionate and bipartisan solutions,” Pelosi said. “We must ensure our laws are fully enforced, so that due process is provided to unaccompanied children and the safety and well-being of unaccompanied children is protected. We must also work to address the root causes of the problem.”

Since the root cause of the problem is President Obama, you should assume that addressing the problem involves a lot of “yessirs,” which is really all Obama wants to hear from Congress.

The plan to fundamentally change America forever is proceeding apace.

Congress has been effectively neutralized. Despite the unanimous Supreme Court ruling just on Thursday that smacked down President Obama for abusing his authority and violating the Constitution, the White House seems to be planning to go ahead with its steady stream of imperial decrees, and amnesty is at the top of the list.

New White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said, “We’re not just going to sit around and wait interminably for Congress. We’ve been waiting a year already. The president has tasked his Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson with reviewing what options are available to the president, what is at his disposal using his executive authority to try to address some of the problems that have been created by our broken immigration system.”

House Speaker John Boehner’s recent announcement that he is planning to sue the president over his use of executive orders has simply gotten Obama’s dander up. “I’m not going to apologize for trying to do something while they’re doing nothing,” Obama said.

“… The majority of the American people want to see immigration reform done,” he added.

He’s probably right that most Americans want it done. The problem is that most Americans consider “reform” to be returning illegal immigrants to their home countries, whereas Obama and the Democrats consider “reform” to be turning illegal aliens into Democratic voters.

It’s been obvious to some people for years, since Obama did his first end-run around Congress, that the man thinks he’s king, not president.

We’ve seen this delusion grow in Obama as he has become more brazen about defying the law.

While some people are finally waking up to the realization that we’re dealing with a tyrant, it’s too late.

We’ve gone past the point where Supreme Court decisions and lawsuits are going to stop Obama.

This fight will come to a head, but with each day it becomes increasingly unlikely that the conflict can be settled in courtrooms or congressional chambers.
