All Lives Matter–Mizzou Students Worry about Paris Tragedy Stealing their Thunder

With the protesting at the University of Missouri, the “black lives matter” signs have shown up again.  I agree that black lives matter.  But I also think that unborn lives matter, and the lives of Christians persecuted in Islamic nations matter, and the lives of Parisians who were attacked matter, and that the lives of people killed all over the world every day matter.  Humans need to agree that all lives matter! Thought & Speech Police Are Alive and Well at University of Missouri

Mizzou–Intolerance in the Name of Tolerance

News of University of Missouri President Tim Wolfe’s resignation came out on Monday morning.  The Mizzou football team went on strike in support of students on campus calling for racial equality and for the University to address discrimination issues on the predominantly white Columbia, MO, campus.  Football players protested in solidarity with hunger-striking student, John Butler, and said they would not play again until Wolfe resigned. Obamacare Eliminates Grad Student Health Insurance Help

Grad student health insurance will no longer be subsidized because Obamacare changed the rules. In many colleges and universities graduate students are employed in various jobs that provide a little bit of pay. At the University of Missouri, part of the compensation for such graduate students was help with health insurance.
