Anti-Gun Ex-Cop Goes on Shooting Rampage

Chris Dorner was fired from the Los Angeles Police Department in 2008 for making false statements pertaining to an incident that occurred in 2007. The incident involved an arrest of a schizophrenic where a fellow police officer kicked the mentally deranged man in the chest several times after he was already handcuffed. Dorner reported the complaint, but apparently they only responded by firing him for lying.

Ever since then, he’s been trying to “clear his name.” And his method for clearing his name is apparently going on a killing rampage on everyone that has caused his reputation harm, killing 3 people so far (including an LAPD cop) and even the man who represented him in his complaint case in 2007 and 2008.

In an 11,000-page rant that he left on his Facebook page, he listed specific names of people associated with the LAPD who he vowed to kill in order to “set things straight”:

“I will bring unconventional and asymmetrical warfare to those in LAPD uniform whether on or off duty…Unfortunately, I will not be alive to see my name cleared. That’s what this is about, my name. A man is nothing without his name…Unfortunately, this is a necessary evil that I do not enjoy but must partake and complete for substantial change to occur within the LAPD and reclaim my name.”

Much of his manifesto was devoted to voicing his political opinions, even endorsing Hillary Clinton for President in 2016. He also mentioned media pundits by name that he agrees with:

“Chris Matthews, Joe Scarborough, Pat Harvey, Brian Williams, Soledad Obrien, Wolf Blitzer, Meredith Viera, Tavis Smiley, and Anderson Cooper, keep up the great work and follow Cronkite’s lead. I hold many of you in the same regard as Tom Brokaw and the late Peter Jennings. …Willie Geist, you’re a talented and charismatic journalist.”

Another pundit that he mentioned is Piers Morgan. He said, “I want you to know that I agree with you 100% on enacting stricter firearm laws.”

Not surprisingly, Piers Morgan was quick to point out that we shouldn’t be “politicizing” this event, and that this isn’t about guns, but about a deranged criminal. How convenient. Anytime the media claim to connect some white mass shooter to a neo-nazi, racist or “radical right-wing conservative” group, they never stop politicizing the event and talking about “sensible” gun control “for the children.” And they go on and on about those radical, angry and violent gun-owners.

But when it’s turned around, and it’s a black mass shooter who has access to “assault weapons,” something that Dorner claimed should be banned, then there’s no need to get political. If this had been a white guy with 2nd Amendment bumper stickers on his car, the media would report on it non-stop for the next 3 months.
