Global Warming Makes Leaves Change Color in August

We know it must be global warming because everything in the weather is caused by global warming. Right?

CBS Pittsburgh reports, “Experts: Record Cold Summer Leads To Changing Leaves in August.”

Pittsburgh is dealing with one of the coldest summers in history and it’s having an effect on the trees.

Friday morning temperatures fell into the 40s in Western Pennsylvania.

Meteorologists say these cold temperatures are leading to trees changing colors in the middle of August.

“This is extraordinary for August, and certainly is a reflection of the prevalence of cool weather,” KDKA Meteorologist Dennis Bowman said.

Right now Pittsburgh is on pace for the 9th coldest summer since record keeping began in 1871.

A KDKA weather viewer took these pictures of the leaves already starting to change colors on the South Side of town, and other residents have noticed the same thing happening on the North Shore.

“There has been a frequency of cold fronts this summer, and the weather for June, July, and August has been substantially below normal,” Bowman said.

I personally had to make a trip to Western Pennsylvania, about a couple of hours north of Pittsburgh, at the end of July. It being summer and all, it didn’t even occur to me to include a jacket in my clothes for the trip. That was a mistake.

But none of this matters to our climate change scamsters. We hear over and over again that mere weather does not tell us anything about climate change, unless that weather is scary, in which case it suddenly becomes proof that climate change is ravaging the planet. Just a few days ago, Jimmy Carter prophesied for us:

The biggest problem we have right now is some nutcases in our country who don’t believe in global warming. I think that they are going to change their position because the evidence of the ravages of global warming is coming or is already there.

Right. It is there in Pittsburgh’s autumn leaves of mid-August.
