“I will not retreat, I will not surrender, I will not be intimidated, and I will not ask for permission to exercise my Constitutional rights.” —Catherine Engelbrecht, testifying before a Congressional Committee to the horrific abuse she has endured at the hands of the IRS, and several other Federal bureaucracies, since becoming involved in civic matters.
WAKE UP, AMERICA! The government has become a weapon in the hand of evil people—there is no other term that adequately describes those who initiated harassment of this woman and her family.
Please, no matter what your political affiliation or preferences, this is an American issue—no politician, no bureaucrat, NO ONE should be able to use the power of government in this manner. No one, not ever.
If you do not find a way to stand up now against such tyranny, there is coming a day very, very, very soon when you will not be able to. Do not deceive yourself. Do not let the complacency of golden memories, of what America supposedly used to be, stop you from seeing what is happening.
“When government fears the people, there is liberty. When the people fear the government, there is tyranny.” That quote may not have truly come from Thomas Jefferson, but whoever said it is dead-on correct.
And, of course, the Justice Department’s investigation of these things—headed by a major Barack Obama donor—finds that the IRS has done nothing criminal. Watch this video again, and tell me whether you truly believe that. The President says nothing criminal happened. Heh… yeah… and “if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor; if you like your insurance plan, you can keep your insurance plan. Period.” With all due respect, Mr. President, you don’t have a shred of credibility anymore.
I don’t often do it… but I strongly encourage you to share this video—let everyone see and hear what was done to this woman.
I stand with this courageous woman, and repeat her quote: “I will not retreat, I will not surrender, I will not be intimidated, and I will not ask for permission to exercise my Constitutional rights.” Hear, hear!
