Obama Joins With China to Fight Global Warming

Fresh off a historic electoral beating, during which his radical policies and scandals were the primary inspiration for voters to return congressional control to the GOP, President Obama nonetheless decided to double down on one of the Left’s favorite fears, global warming.

Early today in Beijing, Obama said the U.S. would step up its effort to reduce pollution. This no doubt means shutting down more coal-, oil- or nuclear-fueled plants in favor of solar death ray machines like the one at the California-Nevada state line, where they’ve been literally frying birds in midflight as a consequence of producing less electricity on more land at a higher price — subsidized by tax dollars, natch.

Chinese President Xi Jinping promised his country would restrict emissions sometime in the future, an event the Associated Press and other media seemed to equate to the parting of the Red Sea. Properly translated from Chi-Com to English, what he meant to say was that soon, pollution levels in China’s cities would be killing people by the thousands, eventually reducing pollution as the number of people available to run poison-spewing factories decreases.

Any way you look at it, Obama’s bid to push for more pollution restrictions is illogical. Whatever hare-brained scheme he proposes will not be accepted by the public, for whom climate change is barely a blip on the radar of their concerns. Plus people are becoming aware of the phony science behind the global warming scare, despite the media’s best efforts to keep the fear alive and public schools’ best brainwashing efforts.

Sen. Mitch McConnell attacked Obama’s climate plan, saying, “Our economy can’t take the president’s ideological war on coal that will increase the squeeze on middle-class families and struggling miners. This unrealistic plan, that the president would dump on his successor, would ensure higher utility rates and far fewer jobs. The president said his policies were on the ballot, and the American people spoke up against them.”

The people not only spoke up against Obama’s policies, voters grabbed them by the throat, slapped them silly, curb stomped their heads and kicked them in the ribs.

Which leads to one very obvious conclusion: Global warming is yet another issue in which Obama plans to force his agenda on America through the illegal use of executive orders to circumvent Congress. This is in addition to whatever he tries to pull with amnesty for illegal aliens.

So we’ve been warned. The president plans to lay siege to the Constitution now that there’s a Republican Congress that may have the spine to oppose him.

There are a number of ways this could go, nearly all of them bad for the country.

The new Congress has a herculean task ahead of it.
