Obama Regime: National Security Means Climate Change, Gay Rights

Susan Rice claims that national security strategy must include fighting global warming and spreading homosexual marriage.

How serious is the Obama Administration about international threats to the United States?

White House National Security Advisor Susan Rice recently spoke at the Brookings Institution and let it be known that this administration likes national security issues as a way to push their agenda on alleged global warming and “gay rights.”

According to CNS News,

In her remarks, Rice listed other threats to U.S. security, including “the very real threat of climate change” and the necessity of promoting equality for homosexuals.

“American leadership is addressing the very real threat of climate change,” Rice said. “The science is clear.

“The impacts of climate change will only worsen over time,” Rice said. “Even longer droughts; more severe storms; more forced migration.

“So we’re making smart decisions today that will pay off for generations,” Rice said.

Equality for homosexuals is also a focus of the 2015 National Security Strategy, Rice said, by first addressing equality based on gender and then citing the rights of people who oppose gender classification.

So Barack Obama and his minions think that national security can be used to cover a grab bag of radical Leftist objectives. Either they don’t think national security requires focused attention, or they really don’t care.

While Rice’s remark about “droughts” and “severe storms” means that we can expect every piece of bad weather to be treated as a warning, she doesn’t want us to be alarmed by the Terrorist slaughters of ISIS.

“Too often, what’s missing here in Washington is a sense of perspective,” Rice said. “Yes, there is a lot going on.

“Still, while the dangers we face may be more numerous and varied, they are not of the existential nature we confronted during World War II or during the Cold War,” Rice said. “We cannot afford to be buffeted by alarmism in a nearly instantaneous news cycle.”

So violent murders of men and rapes of women are not worth being alarmed over, but taxing carbon and redefining reality for the sake of transgenders is a priority.
