Paul Ryan is the current Speaker of the House hopeful. People everywhere are talking about him. He is currying favor with various factions of the Republican Party, and it seems likely that he will be the new Speaker.
Ryan has been popular with the Republican party, though there have always been some who felt he was too far left. Now, he has shown his true colors on the homosexuality issue. The Washington Post reported:
Last week, before Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) confirmed that he’d conditionally be a candidate for House speaker, visitors to the Drudge Report occasionally saw an ominous Web ad. Next to a picture of Ryan’s face was the warning: “Stop Paul Ryan, the Homosexual Lobby’s Trojan Horse for Speaker.” Anyone who clicked was sent to a petition sponsored by Public Advocate of the United States, a Virginia-based conservative group run by local pol Eugene Delgaudio.
“Paul Ryan co-sponsored and voted for the dangerous Gay Bill of Special Rights — a bill that will trample the Constitutional Rights of thousands of Americans,” wrote Delgaudio. “Now, Ryan thinks he can hide from his past record of voting to throw conservatives under the bus as he runs for the most powerful position in the House.”
The gay lobby will be delighted to welcome Mr. Ryan as speaker.
America may be handed a Speaker who will open the door for the “gay” lobby to achieve its fondest dream, even beyond marriage.
It is highly likely prospective House Speaker Paul Ryan would support the homosexual “civil rights” bill, H.R. 3185, because he cast a vote for its younger sister, ENDA, in 2007.
And he apparently thinks people are born homosexual because he has “gay” friends.
Such appalling ignorance or blindness is completely unacceptable in the leader of the House of Representatives.
So if there’s a push for transvestites in the military, will Ryan back that, too? And label the opposition as irrelevant “older people”?
Basically, the gay lobby will hold sway with Ryan. As we take deep breaths and wait to see what the future holds, we can only pray that Paul Ryan will not be approved as Speaker.
