Maybe We Shouldn’t Be Allowed to Give Up

People want to give up but they don’t want to give up eating, shelter, or the use of their iPhones. Here’s a grim headline from the Examiner: “Giving up: 40% women, 28% men, 39% youth don’t want a job.” According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the largest group of people not in the labor force are those who don’t want a job, a remarkable statement on the nation’s work ethic. The federal job counter said that 85.9 million adults last month didn’t want a job, or 93 percent Read more […]

African Americans, Women, Especially Hurting Under The Obama Economy

It is funny how representation works. Both white and black liberals seem to see President Obama as the embodiment of the fortunes of the African-American community. Yet Barack Obama’s status as President does not automatically bring prosperity to people who look like him or share some of his ancestry. Nobody Knows How Much Feds are Getting Paid

Aside from the obvious fact that maybe federal employees shouldn’t be the ones responsible for collecting and interpreting data on their own pay, the study is rife with problems. A Congressional Budget Office Report in 2011 claimed that federal workers earned two percent more than their private sector compatriots. A Read more […]

Why the Democratic National Convention Will Harm Obama

The Democratic National Convention (DNC) is on the horizon, beginning in Charlotte, NC, on September 4 and finishing September 6. President Bill Clinton is to be the keynote speaker at the DNC this year. By making Clinton the main attraction, President Barack Obama hopes to create a comparison between himself and Clinton, who is seen as one of the more successful Democratic presidents in modern times. Team Obama believes that if people associate him with Clinton, he will have this election Read more […]
