Time is the Last Thing Obama Needs

The convention pleas of Barack Obama for more time to fix the economy sounded more like begging for mercy than a plan of action. Only someone with a completely numbed brain who hadn’t been paying attention for the past four years could have fallen for it. Naturally, the Democrat faithful lapped it up. King Obama has already had too much time to fix the economy, as Friday’s unemployment numbers showed. The Democrats’ demagogic faith in their “tax ’em to help ’em” strategy has kept the country Read more […]

will.i.am brings free-market capitalism to the DNC

You can’t fault the DNC for trying. A panel discussion on jobs creation that claimed to be “A Bipartisan Search for Solutions to the Jobs Crisis” included such noted job creation experts as Tom Brokaw, Rosario Dawson, and Black Eyed Peas singer, will.i.am. I’m not exactly sure where the “bipartisan” aspect of the panel was being displayed, but it was hosted by The Huffington Post, so we’ll forgive them for not knowing what that word actually means. Schnatter said: “We’re not supportive of Obamacare, like most businesses in our industry. If Obamacare is in fact not repealed, we will find tactics to shallow out any Obamacare costs and core strategies to pass that cost onto consumers in order to protect our shareholders best interests.” Papa John’s will not be the only one. What few Obamacare Read more […]

Remarks by President Obama at a Campaign event in Roanoke, Virginia, are appearing everywhere: “If you’ve got a business — you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen.” The president explains his beliefs: “There are some things, just like fighting fires, we don’t do on our own. I mean, imagine if everybody had their own fire service. That would be a hard way to organize fighting fires.” There is a true premise to this argument, even though the conclusion (government Read more […]
