If you use your mobile phone while driving, New Hampshire cops can shake you down for $100 on “first offense.” I read a pretty amazing editorial in the New Hampshire Union-Leader yesterday: “The cellphone ban: Fines for endangering no one.” Beginning tomorrow, it will be illegal to “use” any handheld device while in the driver’s seat of a vehicle that is on a public road in New Hampshire. State Now Strips Drivers of License if They Skip School

Nevada has a new law that takes away the right to drive if drivers skip school. As you may or may now know, there was a time when there was no public school in this country. There were no truancy laws and there was, thus, no such thing as a truancy officer. And the United States was overwhelmingly a literate country.
