Wounded Military Get Purple Hearts for “Workplace Violence”?

Why did it take this long to give purple hearts to soldiers wounded by a “religious warrior” who wants to join the Islamic State? It seems completely incomprehensible that it would take six years to recognize people shot by a religious extremist who was loyal to an enemy of the United States. But these people were wounded at the Fort Hood shooting in 2009. The Defense Department insisted that the incident merely counted as a matter of “workplace violence.” [From April 3, 2013: “Should Read more […]

Fort Hood Shooter Asks Islamic State to Make Him a Citizen

As far as I know, the authorities are still calling the murderous actions of Foot Hood Shooter, Nidal Malik Hasan, “workplace violence” rather than terrorism. I understand that he hasn’t been identified as part of a group. But so what? It might still turn out that the Tsarnaev brothers weren’t part of a larger conspiracy. Does that make the Boston Marathon bombing any less an act of terrorism? (Perhaps the fact that Hasan murdered military people and thus did not really hit a civilian Read more […]

Boston and America’s 200-Year-War with Islam

The Boston bombings, the Fort Hood shootings, the events of 9/11, and numerous international Islamic terrorist activities are only new to people who have no sense of history. Should Fort Hood Shooting Victims Receive Purple Hearts?

On November 5, 2009, Army Major Nidal Malik Hasan opened fire on his fellow soldiers at Fort Hood, located just outside of Killeen, Texas.  Before being wounded and captured, Hasan had killed 13 people and wounded 32 more.  He targeted only military personnel, passing by a number of civilians without shooting at them. Due to base policy, none of the military personnel at Fort Hood are allowed to carry firearms except for military police, so those being targeted had no way of defending themselves. Hasan Read more […]

Government’s Failure to Deal with Criminals Breeds More Crime

Nidal Malik Hasan who’s accused of screaming “Allahu Akbar” and gunning down fellow soldiers at Fort Hood is still waiting to be put on trial. The massacre happened more than three years ago. While there a lot of stupid criminals out there, not every criminal is stupid. The trial delay sends a message to other terrorists that they can hold our justice system at bay. That’s what Hasan is doing and our military justice system is going along with it. There is no doubt that Hasan was the shooter Read more […]
