Asteroid to be Named After Trayvon Martin?

An asteroid will be named after Trayvon Martin, if William Lowell Putnam, III, has his way. Mr. Putnam is the trustee of the Lowell Observatory in Flagstaff, Arizona, where, 13 years ago, the asteroid was discovered and named 2000 TM61. It was when Florida thug Trayvon Martin was shot in self-defense in 2012 that Mr. Putnam submitted the name-change nomination to the Minor Planet Center, which decided that the naming was “premature” (but clearly the real reason was that they were racist). But Read more […]

Oprah: Meet the White Emmett Till

I know I’m treading on sacred racial ground to compare anything that happens to a white person to an unspeakable evil that happened to a black person, especially when that someone is 14-year-old Emmett Till. But these days it seems it’s necessary to make stark comparisons in order to get the attention of some people. Three teenagers were charged with killing Australian student Chris Lane last week “for the fun of it.” The alleged attackers are black. “With a motive that’s both Read more […]

The Conversation the Press Does Not Want to Talk About

“The first to plead his case seems right, until another comes and examines him” (Prov. 18:17). I’ve been involved in mediation for more than 30 years. I’ve learned never to take sides. Even when you hear all the evidence, there’s always more. I know we’re tired of the George Zimmerman trial, but there are people on the Left that want to keep racial fires burning for political, social, and financial reasons. They need to crate a racial monster in the image of Frankenstein’s monster Read more […]

Trayvon’s Actions That Night Proved He Was Dangerous

Much has been made of Trayvon Martin’s age, a relatively young 17 to his shooter’s 28. It has been used as an emotional trigger to inhibit all rational analyses of the events that occurred 16 months ago, during which a high-school student with drugs in his system blindsided a neighborhood watchman, George Zimmerman, by attacking him from behind, out of nowhere, with a jarring, wrap-around punch to the nose, and, climbing atop the toppled Zimmerman, grabbing and slamming his skull into the pavement. Sure, Read more […]

The “Cracker” Is Free

George Zimmerman, the self-identified Hispanic and media-identified Caucasian, who shot and killed an attacking 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, has been acquitted. The charges? Second-degree murder, manslaughter, child abuse, and probably, for good measure, raping hostages during a shoplifting spree gone wrong. The trial of Mr. Zimmerman for the shooting of gangsta Trayvon Martin truly is a sad affair for black people. Not because justice was not served in the courtroom on Sunday night, for indeed Read more […]

What Role Will Race Play in George Zimmerman Verdict?

It’s time for the obligatory George Zimmerman update. After all, it’s got the liberal media all a twitter (pardon the pun). Zimmerman’s attorney Mark O’Mara argued that the prosecution had failed to adequately rebut Zimmerman self-defense claim and that it is fallen far short of proving second-degree murder. O’Mara’s claim that Zimmerman’s references to “&#*@ing punks” and “these assholes” who “always get away” during his call to police are not enough to establish second-degree murder. Now Read more […]

Sanford Florida Bracing for Rodney King Type of Riots Pending Zimmerman Verdict

On March 3, 1991, Rodney King, a black man, was driving on the I-210 Foothill Freeway through a Los Angeles neighborhood.  Two California Highway Patrol officers attempted to pull King over, but he refused to stop and took the CHP on a high speed chase both on the freeway and through neighborhood streets.  The CHP officers estimated that the speeds reached 115 mph. When King finally stopped his car, the two passengers were subdued and placed in police cars.  King was the last to exit his vehicle Read more […]

Media Put White People on Trial in Trayvon Martin Case

On Wednesday and Thursday of last week, GlobalGrind went out of its way to advance Obama’s vision of racial harmony. Both pieces received over 30,000 Facebook “likes.” Both opinion pieces established a premise as fact that white people can never understand the black condition. Both pieces went out of their way to reinforce that what was on display during Rachel Jeantel’s testimony in the George Zimmerman/Trayvon Martin trial, was not actually what was seen and heard. What makes this worth Read more […]

Pastor Says ‘Love Your Neighbor Not Your Gun’

Daniel Darling, the senior pastor of Gages Lake Bible Church in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, is saying that some people might think that as Christians “we love our guns more than our neighbors.” Pastor Darling is not saying that keeping and bearing arms is sinful, he is saying that we should put our emphasis elsewhere. We can love our neighbors and be “wise as serpents and gentle as doves” (Matt. 10:16) at the same time. I understand Pastor’s Darling’s concerns, but I think he is missing Read more […]
