Black Church Members Terrorized by Threatening, Racist Signs… from a Black Man

The man said he put up signs, that left Black church members terrorized, in order to expose corruption. This story seems remarkably sparse on details, especially motives: “Black Suspect Arrested After Racist Message Discovered Outside Predominately Black Church.” A Colorado Springs man was arrested after police believe he left racist messages outside a church. Vincent Broughton, 44, who is black, is facing charges for committing a bias-motivated crime and disorderly conduct. The signs Read more […]

Montana Prosecutor Uses Defamation Law to Invent Hate Speech Crime

If you thought the First Amendment prohibited punishing hate speech, you’re right but someone missed the memo. It is so easy to say, “The courts will never allow that. They will strike it down.” But in reality, every time a prosecutor finds a way to punish hate speech he is giving the courts an opportunity to change their minds and overturn the Constitution. They will never admit that they are doing so, of course. But they could always find that there are exceptions in the First Amendment, Read more […]

United Nations Plans to Scrub Internet Free of Hate Speech

Mass global censorship of hate speech is the United Nation’s self-proclaimed goal. After the Islamic attack on the Charlie Hebdo newspaper we saw incredible posturing about freedom of speech. But it was all a ruse. There is no free speech in France. That means their posing over the Charlie Hebdo slaughters was not a statement by the French government in favor of freedom of speech, but an endorsement of the newspaper’s hateful blasphemy and mockery. Telling religious believers that they Read more […]

So-Called Hate Speech: First They Track It then They Target It

I’ve been pondering what to say about this project for tracking hate speech for two days. There is little more to be said than that it proves yet again that the Federal Government needs to be dismantled, department-by-department, until the only things remaining are those services explicitly enumerated in the Constitution. Here is the story from the Free Beacon: “Feds Creating Database to Track ‘Hate Speech’ on Twitter.” The federal government is spending nearly $1 million to create Read more […]

School Official: Zimmerman Verdict Proves It’s Legal to “Hunt Down and Kill American Children”

William Dorland is the director of the University of Maryland’s Honors College. In an e-mail welcoming students back to school, Dorland interjected some statements claiming that the George Zimmerman verdict is evidence that it’s legal to hunt children: “This year, we learned that it is legal to hunt down and kill American children in Florida… This year, the most activist Supreme Court in the history of the United States and radical factions of gun owners, gun manufacturers, and marijuana Read more […]

Democrats Bury Psychotic Allan Brauer’s Death Rant

Democrats, like Islamic radicals, use children as protective shields for their policies. Weepy politicians blubber on about how children will be affected by a cut in this program or that program while each of these protected programs turned millions of children into wards (slaves?) of the State. But it’s worse than mere rhetoric. It’s gotten downright frightening. Amanda Carpenter, an aide to Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz, posted the following on Twitter: “GOP beat gun control, changed Read more […]

LGBT Bigotry: When Not Saying Anything is Saying Something

“If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all” used to be good enough. Nope. Not anymore. In a new encyclical to Department of Justice employees intended to establish a better workplace environment for LGBT employees, supervisors are instructed, among other things: DON’T judge or remain silent. Silence will be interpreted as disapproval. That’s just one of many ridiculous DOs and DON’Ts included in what would be a hilarious document if it weren’t so disturbing. Read more […]

Hate Speech Map Proves People are Haters

Some students from Humboldt State University in California have created a hate map of the U.S. by compiling all of the geo-located hate speech tweets from Twitter. You can look at it here. The students apparently checked the tweets to make sure they were actually hateful (and not just misconstrued uses of words that may seem like hate speech but aren’t—e.g., “I hate crackers” or “This British guy asked me if I wanted to smoke a faggot,” etc.) The map clearly shows that pretty much the Read more […]
