Immigration Is Top Priority for Americans, SAYS NO POLL ANYWHERE!

We keep hearing about how we have a window to deal with immigration this summer, or else the lame duck Congress will do it after the 2014 election. Paul Ryan is working hard to get the votes. Even a Tea Party notable has come out in favor of immigration reform. Tom Donohue of the reprehensible Chamber of Commerce claims the GOP is unworthy to field a candidate for the Presidency if they don’t get “immigration reform” passed. But notice this from Gallup: “Jobs, Government, and Economy Remain Read more […]

DOJ Covers Up Sinaloa Cartel Involvement in Torture Case in Minneapolis-St. Paul

You can read a summary of what happened at the Fox Latino website. Basically, the Sinaloa Cartel (yes, as in Mexico) had a stash house in St. Paul, Minnesota where someone stole thirty pounds of Methamphetamine and $200,000 in cash. They found a couple of teenagers (at least one was an adult) and tortured them, threatening to massacre their families if they didn’t come up with $300,000 to repay the cartel. But while the details are available via Fox News, a more interesting aspect of what happened Read more […]

Paul Ryan Claims We Must Have “Immigration Reform” To Fill All Those Vacant Jobs!

In a way, I could agree with Paul Ryan that reforming our immigration laws “is a matter of when, not if.” But that would mean we do it when we have Republican ownership of both the House and the Senate, or when we own both of them as well as the Presidency. But the very fact that Ryan keeps pushing, even when others in Congress tell him no, makes it look like he must want it sooner than that. He actually wants the Senate’s plan—the bloated, big-government, big-business piece of crony capitalism. But, Read more […]

Jeff Sessions Smacks Down GOP Immigration “Principles”

The Alabama Senator seems to be fed up. Once again, we have the same recycled talking points—crafted, it would appear, with the help of the same consultants and special interests. Each time, the talking points are followed by legislation that fails to match the promises—legislation that, at bottom, ensures only the amnesty and not the enforcement. The leadership talking points look like an attempted repackaging of the tired Gang-of-Eight-style formula that has been proposed, rejected, and re-proposed Read more […]

Will Dems Hold Illegal Immigrants Hostage? We Won’t Know Because Republicans Aren’t Serious.

Right now there are supposedly many millions of people living in the United States who are here illegally. Some were raised here and may not have known that they were basically violating the law by being here. The Democrats have constantly claimed to want to help these people. They have demanded we all support a big-government boondoggle for the sake of these illegal immigrants. And now the Republicans have come up with a counter offer: The Washington Times headline reads: “House GOP wants Read more […]

Immigration “Reform”: Does The President Think He Can Hypnotize Republicans?

I almost get whiplash reading Politico.com’s lead paragraphs under the headline, “Obama renews call for Senate immigration bill.” When President Barack Obama had hopes the House might pass an immigration reform package, he said he was supportive of a piecemeal series of bills. That support may have been short-lived. Obama on Friday urged the House to back the Senate’s comprehensive immigration reform bill, describing it as a settled matter that the legislation would benefit the country Read more […]

Tom Donohue: We Need Immigration Reform Because Of High Demand For Jobs

Tom Donohue is the CEO for the Chamber of Commerce. He is one of the main players who is angry at Ted Cruz and the Tea Party wing of the Republican Party, supposedly due to the government shut down. In the video below he speaks about immigration Reform. So far I haven’t found a precise date for the speech, but it was after the so-called shut-down. Parts of his presentation are quite enlightening and others sound like this video is from a parallel universe in which there has been no recession. Bear Read more […]

Who Is Paying For The “Immigration Reform” Push?

Just three days ago, Politico.com reported that the Republican dominated House of Representatives had no plan to take up “immigration reform” (or deform) this year. But that same day we get this weird story from Bloomberg: Evangelical pastors, corporate leaders, elected Republican officials and small-government activists arrive in Washington next week to lobby lawmakers to revamp U.S. immigration policies before year’s end. The “conservative fly-in” will involve about 600 people and include Read more […]

Immigration Reform Bill Will Prevent Arrest of Illegals

US Border Patrol agents not only work along the Mexican border but they also patrol many of the roads that lead from the border to US cities.  If they see a vehicle full of Hispanics driving north on a dirt road a few miles from the Mexican border, they routinely pull them over and ask for identifications.  The majority of the time, they are illegals that just crossed over the border and they are arrested. If the proposed immigration reform bill is passed and put into law in its present form, Read more […]

Immigration Reform: It’s Always About the Children to Make Us Cry

We must pass “Comprehensive Immigration Reform,” if not for us, then for the children. No, not our own, but the children who are in this country through no fault of their own. I’m speaking of the children of illegal aliens, undocumented aliens, undocumented immigrants, undocumented workers, undocumented citizens. A report called “Shattered Families” (dun-dun-dun), from the Applied Research Center concluded that 5000 children of illegal immigrants (I added illegal) are in U.S. foster care due Read more […]
