Obama to Congress: Please Share Blame for New Iraq War

Obama wants to start a new Iraq war and wants cover from Congress. Obama is going to Congress in order to get authorization for war. On the face of it, this move honors the Constitution. I would certainly hate it if Obama launched a war and said he didn’t need Congress’ approval. According to Associated Press: The White House circulated a proposal Tuesday to authorize the Pentagon to fight Islamic State terrorists without an “enduring offensive combat” role, an ambiguous phrase designed Read more […]

The Nobel Peace Prize Winner Sending Us Back to Iraq

With the announcement of doubling of troops, it is clear that the White House is sending us back to Iraq. Because we made Iraq unstable and unable to defend itself from terrorists, we are now sending a surge of American troops back into that quagmire. While we are assured that they are being sent to serve in a “non-combat” role, it is hard to see how that will work when they are being sent not only to advise but to “assist” the Iraqi army. CNS News reports: “Iraq War II: Obama Read more […]

What Has Bombing ISIS Accomplished, Cost?

So we have been bombing ISIS, or the Islamic state. What have we accomplished? Not much. CNS News reports, As of Tuesday, the U.S. and its coalition partners had conducted nearly 310 air attacks on Islamic terrorist targets, more than 230 in Iraq and 76 in Syria, a Pentagon spokesman said. And while the air campaign has forced the terrorists to change their tactics, “We still believe ISIL remains a very potent force,” Admiral John Kirby told reporters on Tuesday. “Yes, they’ve changed some Read more […]

The Second Amendment is the Antidote to Lone Wolf Terrorism

Dear NRA, JPFO, SAF, and all other Second Amendment advocacy groups, You are missing the biggest PR opportunity in history if you do not band together and seize this moment when we face the threat of lone wolf terrorism. Here is the context in which we must teach the truth: From Canada.com: “ISIS to Canadians: ‘You will not feel secure in your bedrooms’” The spokesman for the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham called for attacks on Canadians on Sunday in an apparent attempt to deter Read more […]

Rand Paul vs Hillary Clinton on War and National Security

Before it was Rand Paul vs Hillary Clinton it was Barack Obama vs Hillary Clinton. Obama called Clinton out as a warmonger. He criticized her for voting to invade Iraq. It is easy to forget, but the Nobel Peace Prize winner ran for office on an anti-war platform. That is how he won the nomination. It also has a great deal to do with why Barack Obama won the presidency in 2008. His opponent, John McCain was as pro-war as a candidate could be. Voters faced a stark contrast. So now it looks Read more […]

Obama’s JV Performance Has Damaged Global Security and Cost Lives

After finally choosing to view the barbaric, on-camera beheading of freelance war correspondent James Foley, I’ve been left with a level of rage known only to those of us who have sacrificed unspeakable offerings on the altar of world peace. My offering was my only son—Aaron Carson Vaughn. Aaron was a member of SEAL Team VI. He was killed in action when a CH47D Chinook, carrying thirty Americans and eight Afghans was shot down in the Tangi River Valley of Afghanistan on August 6, 2011. Many Read more […]

If Allah Is So Great, Why Does He Have to Resort to Violence?

So Muslims say Allah is so great. But why do people in the so-called “Islamic State” convert to Islam? Typically, it’s because a knife is put to their throat, or a gun to their head. Allah is obviously a pretty pathetic excuse for a “god” if this is the kind of “conversions” he accepts. Contrast that with this interesting summary of a study on why Muslims come to Jesus Christ, and become Christians. Since a reader had posted a query as to why Roman Catholics were not participating in Read more […]

Hey, Religion of Peace, Why Aren’t You Dealing with Your Own in Iraq?

When adherents of the self-styled religion of peace aren’t cutting children’s heads off, and placing them in the air on sticks, they’re literally cutting other little ones in half. From the Anglican Communion News Service: “Anglican Vicar of Baghdad: ‘Child I baptised cut in half by ISIS’” The five-year-old son of a founding member of Baghdad’s Anglican church was cut in half during an attack by the Islamic State1 on the Christian town of Qaraqosh. In an interview today, an emotional Read more […]

Barack Obama’s Christian Faith Still Missing in Action in Iraq

Why do questions about Barack Obama’s Christian faith persist? Because his actions and words (or lack of them) give absolutely no impression of allegiance to Christianity, or of identification with the plight of his persecuted brethren. Here’s the Raw Story headline: “Obama vows to save Yazidis stranded on Iraqi mountain.” US President Barack Obama vowed Saturday to help rescue thousands of civilians besieged by jihadists on an Iraqi mountain, as an MP warned they would not survive much Read more […]

Bombing Iraq: Did You Hear the One About How U.S. Intervention Saves Live?

So we are now back, bombing Iraq, targeting a new/old enemy? On the level of God’s rule of history, this may be His answer to the prayers of the Christians being tortured, abused, exiled, and murdered by the Islamic state in Northern Iraq. I invite you to join me in praying to God that the Christians and also all innocent civilians are rescued from these disgusting butchers. (This includes a prayer that somehow God give miraculous selectivity to the bombs and missiles so that civilians are not Read more […]

The Terrorist Threat is Worse Now than Before Our Wars

From the Christian Science Monitor, we read about the terrorist threat: “US is no safer after 13 years of war, a top Pentagon official says.” The nation is no safer after 13 years of war, warns a top US military official who leads one of the nation’s largest intelligence organizations. “We have a whole gang of new actors out there that are far more extreme than Al Qaeda,” says Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, head of the Defense Intelligence Agency, which employs some 17,000 American intelligence Read more […]
