Ferguson Mayor Ignored When He Requested National Guard

The Ferguson Mayor could not get anyone on the phone. The first responsibility of public officials is to defend the freedoms of the People, and also to provide for their protection from threats—foreign and domestic. Given that, I think the Governor of Missouri has some major questions to answer here. Why in the world do you call an emergency, and mobilize the Guard, and then not put them on the streets to protect people’s lives and property? [See also, “Who Is In Charge of Ferguson? Who Is In Charge of Ferguson? Jay Nixon Can’t Say!

The only thing missing from the reply of Jay Nixon to this basic question are chirping crickets. This is incredible. You have to listen to it to believe it. By all rights, my current state should be a solid red state, so why do we have such a liberal governor? According to what I have been told, Democrats run like conservatives and then rule as Liberals in Missouri. Governor Jay Nixon is certainly ruling that way. Nixon’s most recent spitting in the face of conservative voters was his veto of a bill mandating a 72-hour waiting period for women wanting abortions. Since I recognize that abortion is murder, I’m not happy with it being performed three Read more […]
