Irony: Deputy County Clerks Issue Fake Marriage Licenses

Deputies are obeying a judge’s order to give out marriage licenses that are probably “not worth what they are written on.” It is somewhat satisfying to see Liberals engaging in symbolism that only demonstrates their own impotence. The judge in this case has imprisoned Kim Davis until she recants and agrees to issue marriage licenses to couples of whatever sexes (she stopped issuing all marriage licenses after the Supreme Court decision). The judge also threatened the deputies and got Read more […]

Kim Davis Was Not Elected into Office by the Supreme Court

Kim Davis, as a county clerk, answers to her constituents who voted her into office; as someone made and saved by King Jesus she answers to Him. I hate to admit my ignorance, but I must do so now. When I posted earlier about Kim Davis, the Christian county clerk who refuses to sign so-called “marriage licenses” for same sex couples, I had no idea that her office was an elected position. In my opinion, the fact that she is not simply an appointee, but is voted into office by her constituents, Read more […]

Seceding From Sodom

It was a beautiful mountain setting but that outside ceremony was intensely hot. As we departed and descended the mountain, I could smell smoke. I didn’t see any fire burning, but for mile after mile I smelled the smoke. I commented to Cherelyn several times about the pervasive smell of smoke, not like one single campfire, but a different odor of Read more […]

Better to End Civil Marriage than Pervert It?

An Oklahoma legislator isn’t exactly proposing to end civil marriage, but he wants the state to stop issuing marriage licenses. The problem with homosexual marriage isn’t simply the question of the morality of homosexual couples, but that people who know homosexual marriage is an oxymoron—like a square triangle or dry water—are required to lie and affirm that such a self-contradiction exists. This means that county clerks who sign marriage licenses are being told to lie as a condition Read more […]

Time for Pastors to Divorce from Civil Marriage?

Christians are opting out of civil marriage because it amalgamates same sex couples and heterosexual couples. First Things is a pretty well known Christian publication. It now has a statement you can sign to say that pastors will work at “disengaging civil and Christian marriage in the performance of our pastoral duties.” Here is the full text: In many jurisdictions, including many of the United States, civil authorities have adopted a definition of marriage that explicitly rejects Read more […]
