Newsweek Publishes Defense of Bible from its Attack

A Christian scholar has responded to the unfounded claims about the Bible made in Newsweek’s pages. OK, so it’s not a cover-story, and it’s classified as “opinion,” yet I still give Newsweek credit for at least publishing a substantive response to their smear of Christians and the Bible. I also thank God for Dr. Michael Brown’s effort to chop through the forest-full of noxious intellectual and historical weeds sown throughout Kurt Eichenwald’s original hit-piece. Skeptics Prove Their Own Arrogance While Attacking Scripture

When attacking Scripture, one should show some evidence you know what you’re talking about. If you’re a skeptic, looking for completely lame justifications for your unbelief in the God of the Bible, here’s the piece you’ve been looking for! The author does a fabulous job of presenting intellectual mush for the gullible and ignorant, in the name of attacking those who are allegedly gullible and ignorant. Fascists Force Capitalists to be Quiet about Fascism

John Mackey, the CEO of Whole Foods, compared Obamacare to fascism. As usual, the fascists took offense. “Fascists seek to unify their nation through a totalitarian state that seeks the mass mobilization of the national community through discipline, indoctrination, and physical training.” Except for the physical training, the Obama government is a modern-day example of fascism. “It promotes regulated private enterprise and private property contingent whenever beneficial to the nation and state Read more […]

How Todd Aiken Beat the GOP Establishment and May Win in Missouri

I’ve written repeatedly that you can’t win a fight if you’re not in the ring. My anti-GOP and “no lesser than two evil” friends are complaining from the sidelines that the GOP is just like the Democrats. “If this is true,” I tell them, “then change it.” It’s easier for them to bellyache from the sidelines and watch the ship of state go down. They believe that with Barack Obama in for another four years things will go from bad to worse. When this happens, the people will finally Read more […]

“Hit the Road Barack” and Don’t You Come Back No More

Niall Ferguson is the Laurence A. Tisch Professor of History at Harvard University. In 2004, he was named as one of the 100 most influential people in the world by TIME magazine. In this week’s issue of NEWSWEEK, Ferguson has written a provocative article (“Hit the Road Barack”)  that is sure to send shock waves through the liberal media  . . . if they decide to report on the story, which they may not. If they do comment on it, they most likely will point out that Ferguson, by his own Read more […]
