Armed Woman Protects Herself from Would-be Abductors

When you hear that an armed woman protects herself you need to think of all the crimes that have happened against unarmed women. WBNS-TV carried the story: Dinah Burns is licensed to carry a concealed gun, but she’d only recently started taking her weapon while walking her dog. Based on what happened, it looks like she’ll make a point of carrying from now on. “I think if they’d gotten any closer, I probably would have fired,” said Burns. It was Monday when Burns was on a footpath near Read more […]

Two Pictures of the Police in Ferguson

Here are two pictures that tell a troubling story about modern “Law Enforcement” as demonstrated by the police in Ferguson. They drive in like wannabe Rambos, then stand around, appearing as consummate cowards, and watch as criminals run riot, looting and destroying. Here is a Fox News report: “’There are no police’: Ferguson store owners guard businesses; cite lack of police response.” Looters in Ferguson, Mo., were met with little police resistance Friday night and store owners Read more […]

Was Michael Brown Rushing the Police Officer?

The story of Michael Brown and Ferguson just got potentially more complicated. You can see the IJReview.com video here. But it has also been made available via Youtube. Here is one that is a little bit longer than most of them but also prints the relevant statements while they are being said audibly. (Warning, a few bits of bad language.) Here is IJReview.com’s transcript of a portion of the audio: #1 How’d he get from there to there? #2 Because he ran, the police was still in the truck Read more […]

St. Louis Riots are Another Reason to Be Armed

I noticed last night that the St. Louis riots across town from my home caught the attention of Matt Drudge. Sunday night a QuickTrip in Ferguson, a suburb of St. Louis, was robbed and burned to the ground by rioters and looters. Yesterday, violent incidents were reported at the Galleria Mall. There were also various incidents of violence and looting in several locations. The triggering event was a police shooting. Some are saying that the shooting victim was unarmed and was not refusing to cooperate. Read more […]

Knockout Game Proves Guns Prevent Crime

A recent instance of the so-called Knockout Game shows that guns prevent crime. Of course, anyone thinking about it for a moment would expect this. If you are an unarmed criminal looking for a victim, you are not going to choose to attack someone whom you know is armed. But what if you are an armed criminal? Even then, you are going to not want to endanger your life. The potential consequences for trying to attack someone are much more severe in the case of a person who is armed. The fact that Read more […]

Knife Wielders Welcome but No Guns Allowed?

[Taking deep breaths] Let me get this straight: Your employee was accosted by a knife-wielding man—stabbed eight times—and an armed citizen stops the would-be murderer, so… you put up “No Guns Allowed” signs?! From the Daily Sheeple: A convenience store in Mississippi has posted “No Guns Allowed” signs on the front doors – despite the fact that a brutal stabbing was stopped by an armed citizen there recently. On March 12, the manager of Keith’s Superstore in Lumberton was Read more […]

Parents, Whom Barack Obama Has Not Yet Disarmed, Shoot Gunmen & Rescue Daughter

Today, I love my town! From the St. Louis Post-Dispatch: Police say a 17-year-old girl who lived at the home was outside retrieving something from her car when she was approached by two masked and armed men who forced her into her house, using her as a shield. The teen’s father, 34, saw the men walking up with his daughter, got his firearm and fired several shots at them, striking both of the men as they entered his home. The teen’s mother, 34, also retrieved a gun and fired once at the Read more […]

Why Isn’t Someone Blaming Miss USA for Failing to Recommend Carrying a Concealed Handgun?

OK, I’m really close to agreeing with Michael Savage that Liberalism/Progressivism is a mental disorder. Some people apparently live in a universe with endless rainbows, lollipops, and unicorns—a place where economic law is repealed, and no one needs to work for a living. From Twitchy.com: Miss Nevada, Nia Sanchez, was crowned Miss USA on Sunday night. During the pageant, Sanchez, who has a fourth-degree black belt in taekwondo, was asked a question about sexual assaults on college campuses. Read more […]

Police Had a Chance to Stop Santa Barbara Killer and Missed It

In the wake of yet another high-profile school shooting we are hearing the all too predictable calls for more laws, more restrictions. The people who are raising the cry are afraid. They like to complain about how their plans for restrictions are just “common sense,” but they’re not. Laws restricting guns are the desperate gambit of frightened people. We already have thousands of gun laws on the books across this country, from local to federal levels. We also have laws regarding the police Read more […]

Relatives of Killed Armed Robber Considering “Legal Action” against Shooter

FOX Carolina 21God forbid any of us have to face the test of choosing to side with the Law (I don’t mean legislation; I mean the difference between right and wrong) or side with our blood relations. Throughout human history many people have taken the wrong path when faced with such a decision giving us a legacy of tribalism and blood feuds. In this case there is nothing so dramatic, but the principle is the same. According to the Guns Save Lives blog,The family of an armed robber is speaking out Read more […]

Two Shootings This Week, But Only One Got Much Media Coverage

From NBC News: “FedEx Facility Shooting Prompts Massive Response, Shooter Found Dead.” A package handler with a shot gun and bullets strapped to his chest “like Rambo” wounded six people at a Georgia FedEx facility early Tuesday before he was found dead of an apparent suicide, authorities and witnesses said. The male suspect died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound during the workplace shooting in Kennesaw, north of Atlanta, and was found inside the FedEx facility’s loading dock, reported Read more […]

Disgruntled Ex-Employee Forgets Workplace Is Not Gun Free Zone

How would this news story have run if the targeted foreman had not been armed? From KXAN (Austin): “Boss returns fire in West Campus construction-site shootout.” Two people were hurt in a shootout just before noon at a West Campus area construction site near the intersection of Rio Grande Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. Austin police are not yet releasing the names of the two men involved but said the suspect was recently fired from the construction site and returned with Read more […]
