TEA Parties and Secession

The TEA Party movement in America claims it is “Taxed Enough Already,” but author Thomas DiLorenzo says that this is not nearly good enough. If they took their own rhetoric about constitutional government seriously, they would recognize that what is needed is at least a 90 percent reduction in federal taxes, not merely being satisfied with being taxed “enough already.” Too true. Most Americans fail to realize that the famous event which inspired the name of the TEA Party groups—the Boston Read more […]

Liberals Love to Mix the Bible and Politics (Sometimes)

Liberals will use the Bible when they believe it defends a position that supports their agenda. You’ll even find liberals using the Bible to support homosexual marriage by quoting familiar passages like Matthew 7:1–2 and Mark 12:31 but ignoring Matthew 19:1–12 and other anti-homosexual passages (Rom. 1:18–32; 1 Cor. 6;9–11; 1 Tim. 1:8–10). They take a bits and pieces approach to the Bible (like a lot of so-called conservative Christians.) Matthew 7:1 states: “Do not judge so that Read more […]

Balanced Budget: Only for People Who Work for a Living

Here’s what President Obama said about a balanced budget for government: “My goal is not to chase a balanced budget just for the sake of balance. My goal is, how do we grow the economy, put people back to work. And if we do that we are going to be bringing in more revenue.” Let’s say you have a business checking account. Each month you spend more than you take in. In time, you are overdrawn. You have spent more than what’s in the account. Your bank calls and requires you to add money Read more […]

Obama Demands that You Contribute While the State Keeps Spending

Why is it that tax payers have to give more money to the State, but the State never has to cut what it spends? The Federal Government won’t even cut the increase in spending. Obama and the Democrats want “more Americans to contribute today so that all Americans can do better tomorrow.” I’m sorry, but I’m already contributing enough, taking into account federal, state, property, school, ad valorem, sales, social security, hotel, entertainment, airline, utility, gasoline, and dozens of other Read more […]

Rep. King: Taxation Is a Moral Issue Like Abortion, Capital Punishment, and War and Peace

The news is filled with stories of Republicans who are agreeing to a tax increase if the conditions are right. The Democrats, once again, are laughing at them. The Democrats will get what they want (higher taxes), some spending cuts that won’t make a difference, and the credit. The Republicans will then try to explain to their shrinking base what went wrong. The once-steadfast anti-tax Republicans are getting angry at Grover Norquist because he is calling them out on the anti-tax pledge they Read more […]

Don’t Tax the Rich . . . Thank Them

The rich often get a bum rap. Liberals are incensed when it is suggested that “the rich” get any type of tax reduction even though the top 50% of wage earners pay 96% of all income taxes. Since they spend more money, the rich also pay a disproportionate amount in sales, property, entertainment, and excise taxes. Without the rich, most people would not have jobs. Poor people don’t create jobs. Governments create jobs by force. The rich create jobs by creating things people want. The first Read more […]
