Obama Joins With China to Fight Global Warming

Fresh off a historic electoral beating, during which his radical policies and scandals were the primary inspiration for voters to return congressional control to the GOP, President Obama nonetheless decided to double down on one of the Left’s favorite fears, global warming. Early today in Beijing, Obama said the U.S. would step up its effort to reduce pollution. This no doubt means shutting down more coal-, oil- or nuclear-fueled plants in favor of solar death ray machines like the one at Read more […]

USDA Suiting Up for Combat

I think our government is running a secret program to make Robo-cows to enforce this nation’s dairy regulations. How else do you explain the U.S. Department of Agriculture putting out requests for submachine guns and body armor? Earlier this month, the USDA solicited dealers for an unknown number of .40-caliber submachine guns. The requested weapons would include night sights, rails for flashlight attachments, 30-round clips and oversized trigger guards for use by gloved hands. If that wasn’t Read more […]

Harry Reid Vows to Get That Bundy

I wonder sometimes if our so-called leaders ever look in the mirror. Harry Reid in particular is on my mind as he has promised that the grazing rights dispute up at the Bundy Ranch in Clark County, Nevada, is not over, despite the Bureau of Land Management’s humiliating retreat in the face of armed opposition. “Dingy Harry” Reid is already a virtual cartoon character in his everyday corrupt dealings in the Senate and interactions with the American people. Like Peanuts’ Pigpen, you can see the Read more […]

Blood Could be Spilled for Desert Tortoise

The situation at the Bundy ranch in Nevada is beginning to turn dangerous. The elder rancher Cliven Bundy, who has been facing off with the Bureau of Land Management as the agency rounds up and seizes his cattle over a grazing rights dispute, has gained the support of armed militia members even as the BLM has swarmed his property with hundreds of federal agents in trucks and helicopters, and called for out-of-state backup. All of this over an allegedly endangered desert tortoise. On Wednesday, Read more […]

Obama Flexes Imperial Muscles, Raises Federal Workers’ Pay

In what amounts to a preview of the future, President Obama is using an executive order to unilaterally raise the minimum wage for federal contract workers. The White House announced Tuesday that Obama will completely bypass Congress and sign an executive order to up the federal minimum wage from $7.25 to $10.10 an hour. The wage will affect new federal contracts and will only affect existing contracts if other terms of those agreements also change. By raising the minimum wage, even for Read more […]

First American Tyranny: We’re Cool With That

Why President Obama hasn’t been physically dragged out of office at this point is one of those questions that will likely remain a mystery. In case you missed it, Obama this week declared to his Cabinet that if Congress doesn’t do what he wants it to do, he will simply use executive orders to create and enforce any law he chooses. Based on the silence from my many liberal acquaintances, the response to Obama from the Left is “so what?” Obama repeated his declaration to the Democratic members Read more […]

DOJ to America: Help Us Frame Zimmerman

Despite an FBI investigation that found no evidence that George Zimmerman harbored any racist feelings, the Department of Justice is bent on building a hate crimes case against him and has set up a special email address for people to send in “tips” against him. According to the Orlando Sentinel, Tom Perez, assistant attorney general for the Civil Rights Division, asked participants in a conference call to refer anyone who had any information that could be used against Zimmerman. “They said Read more […]

Egyptian Protesters Demanding Ouster of Obama’s Buddy Morsi

On October 14, 1981, Egyptian President Anwar Sadat was assassinated after nearly 30 years as the country’s third president.  Vice President Hosni Mubarak was sworn in as the fourth president of land of pyramids.  Mubarak ruled Egypt with a strong iron hand.  Many considered him to be more of a dictator than a president.  He was charged with a number of human rights violations. In 2010, the movement to oust Mubarak gained strength both within Egypt and from the international community.  Read more […]

Never Let a Good Crisis Go to Waste: Abolish the IRS

We have been presented with the opportunity of a lifetime and that’s not hyperbole. To paraphrase David Axelrod: the government is so “vast” it’s impossible to know what’s going on. That’s probably the only intelligent thing he has ever uttered. Well, he’s absolutely right. It’s gotten so large and out-of-control that it requires storm trooper-like tactics to control the flow of the vast amount of money collected to run it. Now we’ve learned that the collection department, Read more […]

As IRS Scandal Grows, So Does Obama’s Irresponsibility

When an IRS official apologized for targeting Tea Party and patriot groups for harassment, at first it was President Bush’s fault because the office manager who was ordering his employees to stall conservatives’ nonprofit applications had been appointed under the Bush regime. When that didn’t work and it quickly became obvious that the IRS was engaging in a much broader policy of targeting conservatives, religious groups and even journalists who wrote stories not flattering to the president, then Read more […]

TEA Parties and Secession

The TEA Party movement in America claims it is “Taxed Enough Already,” but author Thomas DiLorenzo says that this is not nearly good enough. If they took their own rhetoric about constitutional government seriously, they would recognize that what is needed is at least a 90 percent reduction in federal taxes, not merely being satisfied with being taxed “enough already.” Too true. Most Americans fail to realize that the famous event which inspired the name of the TEA Party groups—the Boston Read more […]

Obeying God Rather than Men

I received an email question the other day about the Christian’s responsibility to government. It is a question we receive often and it is one that must be addressed time and time again. In short, the question is this: “Should we passively accept evil in government, or should we resist it?  Do we submit to evil government, or resist it?” Well, what would you say? This particular questioner referred to a teaching of Jesus found in the Sermon on the Mount. In Matthew 5:39, Jesus says: “But Read more […]
