Did Jesus Feed 5000 To Justify Food Stamps?

This picture and slogan has showed up in my Facebook feed. I find it quite ironic. Jesus fed the 5000 men plus women and children by miraculously creating more bread as he divided up 5 loaves and 2 fish (Mark 6.30-44). He also fed 4000 men plus women and children from seven loaves (Mark 8.1-10). So, naturally, some wit had to put the words into the scene: “We can’t feed all these people; that would create dependency!” Before I explain the irony, let me first point out the absurd libel Read more […]

House Votes to Cut Food Stamps, Dodges Real Problem

The House, in a mostly partisan vote, approved a bill Thursday to cut $4 billion per year from the food stamp program. The 217-210 vote was opposed by Democrats and a few Republicans. The bill aims to save the money, which amounts to about a 5 percent reduction in funding, by including new work requirements, putting limits on how long single people without children can receive food stamps, and implementing drug testing of program participants. Majority leader Eric Cantor said that the program, Read more […]

Attention Liberals: Miniature Human Brains Grown in Lab

The BBC is reporting that “miniature human brains have been grown in a lab in a feat scientists hope will transform the understanding of neurological disorders.” This is good news for liberals since, as Michael Savage has written, liberalism is a “mental disorder.” They could use new brain tissue given what we know about liberal economic policies. Liberals believe that youth employment will increase if the minimum wage is raised. Certainly companies who pay a higher wage will get more Read more […]

PA To Change “Welfare” To “Human Services” So More Sign Up

An NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll last month showed that 24 percent of those polled believe the blame of the “continuing problem of poverty” can be placed on “Too much welfare that prevents initiative.” While that was the answer that received the largest percentage of votes and thus appears to be a hopeful sign, it still means 76 percent disagreed. In Pennsylvania, lawmakers believe there need to be more people on welfare. Governor Tom Corbett, a Republican, is among those people. Although Read more […]

States Should Sue New York For Sending Chuck Schumer to Senate

New York Senator Chuck Schumer claimed that the new immigration bill will fix America’s illegal immigration problem. If passed, Schumer said, “Illegal immigration will be a thing of the past.” In one sense he’s right. By making what was illegal legal, thus, making what was illegal a thing of the past. Please, New York, quit sending people like Schumer to the Senate. Not only does he hurt New York, but he’s hurting the rest of America. If you don’t elect someone better next election, Read more […]

Not Only Do Dead People Vote But They Also Collect Welfare

In 2012, we saw numerous reports of dead people voting in a number of state primary elections and the general election in November.  In all likelihood, thousands of votes were cast from the grave for a number of politicians, mostly Democrats.  Even more absurd was when Florida went to purge their voter rolls of dead people and non-citizens, Eric Holder’s Justice Department tried to stop them. Now we are learning that dead people cannot only cast their ghostly ballots from beyond, but they Read more […]

Liberalism In Sweden Yields Rioting From Spoiled Muslims

We in America certainly have our youth problems. Take a look at the causes and politicians college students sympathize with and you’ll know what I mean. And with the Boy Scouts of America now essentially telling kids to prepare their rear ends (in case you didn’t hear, they’re now allowing kids who are attracted to each other to be showering together and sleeping in the same tents), we’re about to get a bigger youth problem, breeding a whole new, sexually confused and traumatized generation. But Read more […]

Government Recruiting People To Sign Up For Food Stamps

Under the Obama administration, the number of Americans receiving some form of government assistance has swelled like the cap of a Shiitake mushroom.  In January of 2009, when Barack Hussein Obama was sworn into office, there were 32 million Americans receiving food stamps.  By July of 2012, that number had swelled to over 46 million or one out of every 6-7 people in the entire United States. Evidently, that’s not enough, but in some states such as Florida, they have people who go around recruiting Read more […]

Ready to Give Up on America Yet?

I don’t get to listen to Rush Limbaugh too often, but I like him a lot. The conservative commentator known as El Rushbo always has a way of looking at current events that informs his audience of details the “drive-by media” overlook or keep hidden, yet he manages to keep things funny and positive, even in some of the darkest times. For his many years in broadcasting, and in the face of the angry Left that would love to see him brought low, the great Maha Rushie has been the premier national Read more […]

Pelosi: Spending Cuts Will Lead To “Very Little” Government

At a press conference on Thursday, Nancy Pelosi was asked about Boehner’s statement on matching the debt limit rise with dollar for dollar spending cuts. He had said previously that when the government raises the debt limit yet again later this year in August, there needs to be matching spending cuts that accompany any rise in the debt limit. She said that was just “anti-government” rhetoric:  “Yes, that’s what the Speaker says, and that is certainly in keeping with the anti-government Read more […]

Tax Payers and Tax Eaters

It is often argued that we need to have government intervention in economics and business because the rich will keep getting richer otherwise. On the face of it, this may seem to make sense, but the reality of it is far from true: the rich do not always get richer. In fact, the only scenario where the rich will always get richer is with government intervention. Only when the rich are subject to the same free market risks and rewards as everyone else can there be true equity. Lew Rockwell writes: There Read more […]

I Want a Merciless Government

A little while back, I was buying groceries. In front of me in line was a lady with her three very young kids. She had some WIC checks for her food, and because each one of the checks had to be processed specific to the kind of food it covered, it took a long time for her to check out. The cashier was not being very kind about the delay, and seemed noticeably curt and hurried. The woman started to look very embarassed. I remember her eyes meeting mine for a moment. It was heart-breaking the shame Read more […]
