The State Always Sides With Death

It is no secret that Obamacare has been controversial for forcing businesses to fund contraceptives and abortions. Biden lied about it in his debate with Paul Ryan, but Wheaton College, the Catholic University of America, and many other Religious institutions are not going to court for the fun of it. As Kyle Duncan, general counsel of the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty, has said

“Under the mandate, nearly every Catholic hospital, charity, university, and diocese in the United States — along with millions of institutions of other faiths — must refer for, must pay for, and must act as a vehicle for contraception, sterilization, and abortion-inducing drugs. If they do not, they face millions in fines. That is a fact.”

Beyond that, Christian Bible Publishers aren’t even considered Religious institutions according to Obamacare. Tyndale House Publishers has filed suit,

“because the federal government has deemed devout publishers of the Bible to be insufficiently ‘religious’ to enjoy religious freedom in America. The federal government is mandating that Tyndale House Publishers violate its and its owners’ beliefs by covering morally objectionable items in their health plan pursuant to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010.”

To sum it up: the government is forcing religious institutions and private businesses to violate the consciences of their stakeholders and fund things they regard as evil. What happens if it goes the other way?

In May 2011, the Republican Governor of Indiana signed a new law that banned Medicaid funds from going to “healthcare providers who provide abortions.” Planned Parenthood, under this new law, would no longer be able to get money for patients through Medicaid.

By the next month, Planned Parenthood got the courts to protect their revenue source. U.S. District Judge Tanya Walton Pratt blocked parts of the law. The state appealed. Tuesday, the 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Chicago ruled against the funding ban. The court claimed that “Indiana didn’t have authority to exclude a medical provider that qualifies for Medicaid.”

So, the Federal Government has the authority to reach into each and every state of the Union and force Church hospitals and Bible publishers to fund abortions, but the Indiana state government cannot block abortion providers from getting Medicaid funds. Abortion is the ultimate goal of the state, and its ultimate loyalty.

We live in a culture of death. This is especially true of our ruling class elites who constantly pretend that the planet is in danger of being overpopulated. What they really mean is that they want people in flyover country to not become too numerous to control. So you can expect, the further you go into the bowels of the Federal Government, the more you will find a commitment to barrenness and baby-killing. This is just one small snapshot of the big picture.
