TSA Agent Went Beyond Groping During Multiple Sexcations In Dominican Republic

Did you hear the one where the TSA caught a man who had sex with two fifteen year old girls? No? That’s because it never happened. Rather, the man who was caught and charged with having sex with two fifteen year old girls was, in his professional life, one of those brave TSA agents who protects us from terrorism.

Add this story to a long list of other ones, including smuggling drugs through the airport.

From the New York Daily News:

A TSA supervisor was charged Friday with having sex with underage girls in the Dominican Republic, federal authorities said.

Vernon Lythcott was arrested on the jetway at Kennedy Airport as he was about to board a flight to the Dominican Republic – his second trip to the Caribbean island since January.

Lythcott, 48, of Brooklyn, paid two 15-year-old girls to have sex with him for $80, according to a complaint filed in Brooklyn Federal Court.

It is illegal for U.S. citizens to have sex with someone under the age of 16 or a prostitute under the age of 18 anywhere in the world.

A Homeland Security agent stationed in the Dominican Republic was tipped off about an American tourist engaging in sex with the teens and interviewed both victims, special agent Karine Stewart stated in the complaint.

“The victims also reported that during the course of that night they had used Vernon Lythcott’s cellular telephone to check their Facebook accounts and had also ‘friended’ Lythcott on Facebook,” Stewart stated.

“Lythcott also used an application on his phone to translate sexual instructions from English to Spanish.”

Lythcott is not just a stellar member of the TSA, but he is a supervisor at Kennedy Airport. He claimed in his defense that he thought the girls were 16 years old—which is a defensive position notable for being an admission of criminal intent, since that is still illegal.  He confessed to 45 such trips but claimed all the rest of the women he hired had been at least 18 years old.

I hate to be old-fashioned, but even if you take away the statutory rape aspect, the last person I want groping children and ogling woman through a nudie scanner is a man who spends some large portion of his income on sex tourism to the Caribbean.

In the “truth is stranger than fiction” department, the New York Daily News got a couple pics of Lythcott wearing—What else?—a wife beater T-shirt.

Lythcott is being fired from the TSA now. Perhaps he can move on to the FBI.
