I have felt that Ted Cruz has been shifting his positions lately but I didn’t have concrete details about it until I saw Ben Swan’s video. Please watch it if you have time:
Swan is absolutely correct about Edward Snowden’s role in legislation. Snowden empowered Congress to deal (however weakly) with NSA surveillance because, until he blew the whistle, Congress was kept ignorant of it.
Edward Snowden is a hero and Ted Cruz’s earlier statements were more consistent with his identity as a Constitutional conservative. His most recent statements against Snowden put him more in line with Barack Obama.
